MOSCOW. July 16 (Interfax) - The International Space Station's (ISS) orbit was lifted by nearly two kilometers, Russia's Roscosmos space corporation said on Wednesday.
"The International Space Station was lifted by 1.93 kilometers at 5:45 p.m. Moscow time on July 16," Roscosmos said.
The average altitude of the ISS's orbit was increased by 1.93 kilometers, reaching 416.8 kilometers, it said.
The adjustment was carried out using the engines of the Progress MS-30 resupply ship, it said.
Seven crewmembers - Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergei Ryzhikov, Alexei Zubritsky and Kirill Peskov, NASA astronauts Anne McClain, Nichole Ayers and Jonathan Kim, and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency astronaut Takuya Onishi - are operating the ISS at present.
