MOSCOW. July 16 (Interfax) - A missile has destroyed a Ukrainian S-300PS air defense system near Odessa, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
An Iskander short-range ballistic missile struck a Ukrainian S-300PS position near Gvardeiskoye in the Odessa region, it said.
"The strike destroyed two launch vehicles, a targeting station and a combat control station of the enemy's S-300PS air defense missile system," the ministry said.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Russian Defense Ministry said in its daily report that elements of Ukraine's S-300PS system were destroyed. According to the ministry, an Israeli-made RADA radar was also destroyed.
